An animation of a turtle, stuck on its back, that gets caught in a storm. This animation is meant to be entertaining.
When creating this animation I had to create the rain, adding all of the raindrops and having them fall in a way that I could seamlessly loop them. Creating the sound environment was also challenging, but it grew easier as more sounds were added.

A commercial about a sick boy who goes to the doctor and the doctor is revealed to be Dr. Pepper. The boy drinks the soda and instantly feels better. This commercial was created for the After Effects class at the University of Oklahoma. This commercial was created to entertain and persuade.
The character design and animation for this commercial was very challenging because I created it in a 3D environment. The shadows and camera angles made it particularly challenging when animating, but it is because of them that the characters look like they belong in their world.

Retro OU TV Bumper

This TV bumper is retro themed with an emphasis on neon colors and an analog TV. It was created for the After Effects class at the University of Oklahoma. It was made to entertain its viewer as well as inform them what channel they are watching.
This animation utilizes the shape tools in After Effects as well as the lighting to create a retro look for the overall bumper. While it is short, it is still able to have personality through the type font, the voice acting, music, and colors.

A dinosaur eats a leaf from a tree which makes him sneeze and release the leaf that says “Kyra Boydstun Studios”. This animation was created for the After Effects class at the University of Oklahoma. This animation is to inform the viewer about the business Kyra Boydstun Studios.
I had never done a complete animation before this, so trying to figure out how to animate the different aspects in the scenes was a challenge. Working on the project allowed me to understand what all goes into animation and how to work with shapes and drawings.

I wanted to make an animation with this dinosaur logo for my company Kyra Boydstun Studios to utilize on my website. I created three different versions of this animation and chose this one because it had the best visual impact.
